Short answer: on 4 August 2026 Meta reported 163 ads running for HelloFresh in the US. We read all of them. Around 71% carry video, every ad runs on Facebook, Instagram and Threads at once, and the whole account is built from around 20 distinct headlines.
But the interesting part is not what they run. It is what they keep.
Most of their volume goes into outcome headlines like "Dinner In 30 Min." Not one of those has survived past 46 days. The offer headlines like "Get 10 Free Meals" are a smaller share of the account, and they include every single ad older than 60 days.
They run one angle. They keep another.
We have now measured this three times across four days, and the result has not moved once.

What we counted, and what we left out
Meta reported 163 active ads for the HelloFresh page. 25 of those are not HelloFresh's own ads — they are branded-content partnerships delivered through creator accounts (Joelle Harder, Kirsten Schaffer, madicbrown and five others). A page-level pull returns them silently, mixed in with everything else.
They are a real part of how the brand advertises, but they are a different kind of ad with a different production pipeline. So every figure below is the 138 ads HelloFresh runs from its own page, and the creator ads are excluded and disclosed rather than quietly averaged in.
We are not reporting spend, impressions, revenue or performance. Meta withholds those figures for commercial advertisers, so anyone publishing a dollar figure for a brand like HelloFresh is showing you a model, not a measurement.
The survival curve
| Still running after | Share of the 138 |
|---|---|
| 7 days | 57% |
| 30 days | 24% |
| 60 days | 13% |
| 90 days | 9% |
The median live HelloFresh ad is 11 days old. The oldest is 96 days.
This is what a well-funded testing programme looks like from the outside. Not a library of polished evergreen assets. A firehose, with a small number of things that survive it.
For scale: when we measured how long Facebook ads actually run across 560 live creatives from 19 brands, the median was 33 days. HelloFresh churns roughly three times faster than that average.
An important caveat about "days running"
Before the main finding, the thing most competitor-research advice gets wrong.
Ad age is the age of the ad record, not the age of the creative. When a media buyer duplicates an ad rather than editing it, Meta creates a brand new record with a fresh start date. Buyers do this deliberately, to reset the learning phase. So a 5-day-old ad may be a 6-month-old concept on its twentieth duplication.
You can see it in the data. HelloFresh's 76 outcome ads were launched on just 8 distinct days — 23 of them on one day, 18 on another. That is bulk rebuilding, not 76 individual bets.
This is exactly why the finding below is about cohorts, not individual ads.
They run one angle and keep another
| Outcome headlines | Offer headlines | |
|---|---|---|
| Ads | 76 (55%) | 47 (34%) |
| Median days live | 11 | 21 |
| Oldest | 46 days | 96 days |
| Launch cohorts | 8 | 14 |
| Still live past 60 days | 0 | 18 |

Outcome headlines sell the result: "Dinner In 30 Min." (29 ads), "Globally Inspired Meals" (15), "Ditch Takeout" (12), "Make Dinner Easy". Offer headlines sell the deal: "Get 10 Free Meals" (23), "Free Caraway Storage", "Save More At Mealtime", "Get A Free ZWILLING Wok".
Read that through the cohort lens and it gets sharper. HelloFresh have rebuilt their outcome creative eight separate times, and not one of those rebuilds has lived past 46 days. Meanwhile a twelve-ad offer batch launched 96 days ago is still running untouched.
That is not one lucky ad outliving its siblings. It is a whole cohort that never needed replacing, next to an angle that gets replaced every fortnight.
One caveat, stated plainly. Two smaller groups, proof headlines ("1000s Of 5-Star Reviews", 10 ads) and variety headlines, are all under a fortnight old. They have not had the chance to survive 60 days, so their absence from the survivor list proves nothing yet. The outcome group is different: 76 ads, 8 rebuilds, a hard ceiling at 46 days.
The honest reading is not "outcome angles do not work." It is that HelloFresh appear to use outcome creative as the churning top of the funnel and offer creative as the durable workhorse. The volume tells you where they are searching. The age tells you what they found.
It is not unique to them either. In our 19-brand longevity study the single oldest live creative, a True Protein ad running 467 days, also opens on an offer rather than a brand story. Two different categories, same survivor profile.
The ad that has outlived everything

The oldest ad still running is a four-panel meal grid with "10 FREE MEALS" across the middle, live since late April. Three things stand out.
1. The hook sells the relationship, not the food. The body copy opens "HelloFresh saves you time and money, so you can actually enjoy dinner together." The word doing the work is "actually", which validates a frustration the reader already has rather than announcing a feature. The product is a meal kit. The promise is dinner together.
2. The offer is a discount wearing better clothes. The fine print on the creative reads "Applied as discount on first box, new subscribers only, varies by plan." So it is a discount. But nobody writes "discount" in 60-point type. They wrote FREE. Same economics, completely different reading experience. And "10 free meals" lands as a concrete quantity, where "50% off" would make you do arithmetic before you feel anything.
3. The visual answers the real objection. Four finished dishes, shot in daylight, with a human hand holding the top-right plate. The unspoken fear with meal kits is what if the food is mediocre. The grid handles that before a word of copy is read, and the hand keeps it from looking like sterile studio food photography.
Worth noting: this ad is static, in an account that is 71% video. The longest-running creative in a video-heavy programme is a still image.
The pattern you can actually use
You are unlikely to have HelloFresh's budget. You do not need it to copy the method.
- Separate your search budget from your workhorse budget. They use outcome creative to explore and offer creative to earn. Most small accounts make every ad do both jobs.
- Say the number, not the percentage. "10 free meals" beats "50% off" because it lands as a quantity instead of a calculation.
- Judge angles by cohort survival, not by output. The angle with the most ads had the shortest life. Volume of production told the opposite story to the data.
- Group by launch date before you judge anything. Ad age resets on duplication, so a wall of young ads means a recent rebuild, not a graveyard of failures.
- Read the whole account, and check who is actually in it. 15% of the ads on this page were not the brand's own. An earlier version of this article counted them.

"Get 10 Free Meals." The fine print describes it as a discount applied to your first box, for new subscribers only, varying by plan.

Which platforms does HelloFresh advertise on?
Every ad runs on Facebook, Instagram and Threads. Most also include Messenger.

Can I see these ads myself?
Yes. Meta's Ad Library is public and free. socialfuel.io exists to do the reading part, sorting by longevity and decoding the hook, angle, offer and audience, in about 90 seconds instead of a day.
Method: all 163 live US ads on HelloFresh's Meta page, read 4 August 2026 via SOCIALFUEL, filtered to the 138 delivered from the brand's own page. Headline categories are assigned by keyword rule (offer / outcome / proof / variety) and ad age is calculated from Meta's reported start date, which resets when an ad is duplicated. No spend or performance data is claimed or implied. HelloFresh is not affiliated with SOCIALFUEL.
